DMS Tech announces DMS-OS

DMS-OS Real Time Operating System (RTOS) is specialy designed for all third party users who want to develop their own applications on the hardware form DMS Tech. DMS-Tech will supply three Application Development Platforms (ADP), which will include the DMS-OS. These platforms will give the third party user a Rapid Application Platform (RAP) to create an end solution for the market in a minimum of development time. DMS Tech will supply all kinds of plug-in libraries, which will even speed up this time even more.

DMS-OS specifications (Preliminary)

• Binary code takes less then 4kByte of ROM space. This makes it very suitable for even small microcontrollers.
• Configurable at run-time. So you do not need to re-compile the Operating System to change settings of the RTOS.
• Special functions to add Interrupt Service Routines to the interrupt vectors in your microcontroller system.
• Supports upto 65535 tasks ( if your memory configuration allows this ).
• The kernel is preemptive.
• The kernel supports Round-Robin scheduling.
• The Operating System has very little functions, so it is very easy to learn.
• The RTOS comes as a library file, which you link with your system.
• Currently available for the MC68HC11 series
